MagWiper MW-1B
Degaussing reduces the magnetisation of the device to zero. Nothing recovers data afterwards, which is why governments and listed companies require it before sensitive media is disposed of — and why the erasure has to be demonstrable rather than merely claimed.
The MagWiper is listed in the NSA/CSS Degausser Evaluated Products List, which is the only evidence most auditors will accept that a field of this strength does what the vendor says it does.
